You can use the control tips in combat and it actually brings them up on the turn of the character you told to use them.
The dev had to specifically code that in so you didn't just get a, "nothing happened" message.

This game was so not ready to be uploaded. Bad bugs early in the game and its SOO Short!. There is barley any game to this at all. There is a lot of potential but whoever made this game should've fleshed it out a lot more and gave us something to do before giving us this.
